NOEL SOUCY

Noel Soucy is a self-taught painter based in York, ME. She is currently working in acrylic and oil on canvas to create contemporary landscapes inspired by her adventures in Midcoast Maine and her surroundings. Her explorations outside largely mirror her explorations in the studio as she captures the beauty of Maine’s landscapes. For Soucy, each painting starts with a feeling or memory she wants to express. Image evolves freely as she layers color and texture, scratching into the surface and working with palette knives and brushes until the character of the scene emerges. Noel is an exhibiting member in the Seacoast Artist Association, Loading Dock Gallery and Kittery Art Association.
